Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our players, coaches, staff, their families, and our communities, we have made the difficult decision to alter our Fall 2020 season. We will be conducting skill development camps in lieu of practices and games. We are working with USA Football to co-sponsor these camps. This was not an easy decision; we believe we have made the best decision for our young athletes We appreciate your support and understanding during this challenging time Please know we will make the best of this through our skill development camp model this fall. More information will be coming in the next few weeks. We will open our registration site for the camps as soon as possible Our plan is to start these camps in September.
Bottom line, the League takes the responsibility for player safety very seriously. We were one of the original youth organizations in the country to be part of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association, to develop and actively track playtime minimums, to create concussion training before USA Football started their training, to become a pilot “HeadsUP” program for USA Football, and to remove the kickoff/return from play. The League maintains strong relationships with Portneuf Medical Center, Bingham Memorial Hospital, Bannock County Sheriff’s Department, and First Security in Blackfoot for ensuring safety at our games It has been our mission to ensure safety on the field and also for those in attendance of our games.
